Access to Innovative Test & Therapies: Breast Cancer
When: Tuesday 26th November – 7pm
Where: Bellevue Cottage by Antoine, 55 Leichhardt St Glebe NSW
On behalf of the Private Cancer Physicians of Australia (PCPA), the Pam McLean Centre and Gilead Oncology, we are pleased to invite you to attend an informative dinner event.
We will be updating you with the latest clinical data in Triple Negative Breast Cancer and launching a new educational resource that will assist you in having patient conversations about access to tests and therapies that are not yet reimbursed. Our members tell us that there are daily challenges in managing patient expectations in receiving access to innovative cancer therapies and tests that are yet to be reimbursed. Some require the patient to pay costs that they had not factored into their treatment and the wait time for access via the PBAC is lengthening. The discussion can be difficult, time consuming and uncomfortable.
